Hey guys, I've been planning a new grow setup for my upcoming indoor season. I plan on growing 4 plants at a time and using extensive LST. I'll set up 5 poles to train the plants along in a SCROG type fashion without a net. Here's a quick little sketch of what I have in mind

My future setup includes

Grow Tent - 4' x 2' (must be this size)
Lights - This is where I could use some input...

2 - Apollo 4 LED (130W draw) units @ $150 each

or

1- Apollo 8 (260 draw) unit @ $305

I'm leaning toward hanging the 2 - Apollo 4 units so I have greater ability to adjust them at different angles instead of 1 larger fixed unit

I'm trying to stay around $300 for my light. Total setup trying to stay under $800 including restocking a few items.

Ventilation -4" inline fan and carbon scrubber + 6" clip on fan for a slight breeze and passive air intake

Medium - Promix HP, 3 gallon fabric pots (Geopots with square profile)

Nutrients - Dutch Nutrient Formula Grow A and B plus Bloom A and B, Botanicare Calmag, DNF Bloom Fortifier and Grow Fortifier

I'm open to comments for improvement on my setup, I'm aiming to have everything setup and dialed in so I can begin indoor for September, maybe even start them a bit earlier.

In the early stages I'll start them in my little cab with T5's for about 3 weeks than transfer them over to the larger LED tent and have a perpetual harvest. Basically just before I start cleansing the LED/Bloom tent I'll begin germinating the seeds for my Veg cab, so say I cleanse/flush for 2 weeks, dry for 1, by that time the veg girls will be 3 weeks old and repeat the cycle until I need more beans!

:peace:

Sounds like a nice setup! I'd go with the Apollo 4's also IMO. Look forward to see this when its time! :Sharing One:

Cheers bilbo, Hmm that looks pretty sweet also, seems like it would be perfect for a square tent

I'm still leaning towards the topled now since it will cover the 4' length of the tent with its rectangular shape

Just curious to hear other peeps experience with their LEDs in a 4x2 ft tent (1.2 x.6 metres)

Aiming for 4 plants, lots of LST, hoping for 2 oz per plant, more would be welcome tho lol

Make sure you do something to raise those fabric pots an inch or so off the floor so you get air circulation below the pot. Your roots will thank you.

Nice looking setup johnny, thanks for the input! I'll take a closer look at those LEDs and your grow.

Thanks muddy, yup I've used dish drying racks in the past to get them off the floor of my current cab which is way smaller, micro grow setup.

I was just thinking about using square plastic pots possibly instead to I have something sturdy to support my horizontal poles/canes
