I am a first time grower. I am 49 and I have been sick for several years and unable to work. I did try some weed several months ago and it did help me relax and in some ways made me feel better. No income no extra $$ to buy so; I bought a few seeds online. I bought a few nirvana nl fem non-auto and two samsara ultraviolet autos. I built a box that's about 5' long 4 1/2' tall and 18" deep. I lined the walls with 3/4" shinny insulation and then covered the inside walls with a very reflective radiant barrier. I am using cfl bulbs.(i have many lights) They are in the 10" aluminum light holders and I have rigged them with double bulbs. I started out with all 6400k and 5000k and when I saw the samsara start to preflower i added some 2700ks. I have great circulation and the temp stays around 75. It is inside my home but I have the air pushing out a vent on top of my three story house. I feel safe no one will smell it. I think my big first mistake was using mir-gro with nut in the soil. All plant are growing really well. The one samsara is about 24" and filling out very nice. The second samsara is getting big but no flowering yet. It shows no signs at all of being male. I topped it about a month ago thinking it was the nl. All plants were in 2 gal pots. yesterday I transplanted the nl's to a 3.5 gal pot and I used a high quality soil that had no added nutes. The plants were filled with roots. I did not disturbed any of the mir-gro soil that was around the roots. MY thinking was fist bigger pot more bud, less mir-gro les mir-gro tast, and no as much nitro during flowering. whitch I hope to start in about a week. By the way my plants are about two months old. I have not kept a log so it's a estimate on the time.
So. What should I do to get the 2nd samsara auto that I mistakenly Took about two inches off the top to get into flower or is it to late.
Is a week enough time to wait after transplanting the nl to put in 12-12.
I'll take a few photo's tonight when the light go on. I run the lights 11pm-5pm.
Other than topping that one samsara plant I have not tampered with any of the other plants.
I would like any advice that will help. You will not hurt my feeling so if I have done something stupid tell me but also tell me how to do it the right way.
