Hi all, I have been stalking the forums for a while now and would like to say thanks for all great info thus far. I think my plant may be suffering from calcium deficiencie but before I jump in and make a huge mistake I would love to see what someone who know what they are doing thinks. The plant is 21 days old and I have only fed Regen-a-root(1ml/l) so far. I was planning on adding the first feed today of plant magic soil grow but thought I should wait and see what people say. Thanks for the help.

Problem: Brown mark/ holes on lowest fan leaves
Medium: plant magic plus soil ph 6.5-7
Feed: Regen-a-root(1ml/l)
Strain:royal creamatic
Climate: Temp 26.5-31.1 humidity 41-58%
Additional info: Mars hydro 300 watts 18/6

Hi @crazyaxemax ,

As far as i can see that looks like more of a Phosphorous deficiency to me, but seeing as your plant hasn't even started to flower yet its kind of doubtful. Just make sure that your water PH is between the ranges of 6 and 6.5 as deficiency's will more than likely occur outside of this PH range.

To be honest it looks like Nutrient splash, have you been careful not to water or to splash the plants leaves while feeding? Even if you are only using a root accelerator in your feeding it will cause a slight burn to the leaves if it has been splashed on to the leaf surface of the plant. In future be sure to gently move the plant leaves out of the way when feeding, this should stop the problem form occurring.

If you haven't already, after about 3 weeks or 21 days its time to start administering a Cal/Mg supplement into your feeding regime. Start at 1/4 of the manufactures recommended dosage and gradually increase as needed.

I hope this has helped.

Thanks @Grim Reefer, I think you're 100% right about the nutrient splash come to think of it...
Also thanks for the advice on the Cal/Mg, I wasn't too sure about it because so many people say to use a low-nutrient regime with auto. But I decided to buy some in the end, so hopefully that will make a difference as well.

Do you mind me asking your opinion on the overall health of the plant? Just that I don't have any previous experience, and I wouldn't want to miss anything!

No problem man, glad i could help. Use Cal/Mg with every other watering from here on all the way up till flush.
Your plant is looking very good and healthy @crazyaxemax . Hard to believe you are new to this.

Yeh i was going to say nute splash or dirt prolonged on leaf which will stop tht part of leaf covered photosynthesising, sensi cal mag is good foiler feed it every week during veg, spray under leafs, a bit of plain spray all over in mornind during veg helps airiate like morning dew

edit: Your baby is doing just fine looks very lush

Hi mate...although i agree with what grim said and i definitely dont want to contradict his words and i respect him i would say its just Ph problem in your water or soil...did you check that?!
what do you @Grim Reefer say?! :)

cheers.. and plants look super healthy btw

:thanks:

Hi @djibra420 ,no offensive taken everyone is entitled to their own opinion. :pass:
I did state that it could be PH related if you read the first part of my answer correctly.

:toke:--- she's just fine mate, I'm with grim on this,.. I see no defc./toxicity symptoms at all,... ease into the nutes at 1/4 strength (what brand actually, the dilution amount will depend on the NPK#'s) and ramp up from there,... a fine start otherwise Craz'! :d5:

Hi all, thanks for all the support!

Got some good news today as it seems she has just started flowering .
However, that leaf that had a brown spot on (1st pic in my 1st post) is now showing some discoloring; it looks a bit like phosphorous deficiency to me (you might have been right from the start @Grim Reefer ) but no other leaves seem affected atm.

@djibra420, I do check the PH of the soil every day and it seems to stay stable around 7, not sure how accurate my meter is thou (12 quid worth from a garden center)! So if seeing the new symptoms you think it might still be that, I'll get a better meter and check again.

@Waira, just gave my first feed today, NPK is 2.3 - 0.9 - 3.8 at 0.5ml/L and my CalMag is 2.6 -0.1 - 0.3 at 0.5ml/2L (so a quarter of the recommended dosage).

I can't believe how helpful you guys are being! :thanks:
