Lighting Newbie looking for advice on light distance

im looking for help with light distance if anyone can help,

I’ve got a 60x60x140 cm grow tent,
300 watt LED light (not sure if I can name the brand) and will be growing 1-2 plants in soil.

What kind of light distance should I be aiming for ?

Most everyone on here says 18 to 20 inches.

Should my light be at 18-20 inch for all growth stages of the plant ?

Seedling 18-20 inch
Veg 18-20
Flower 18-20

My lights are at that distance from the top of my grow bags. That's where it stays on my grows, but I tend to select short to medium height strains.
My tent is like 4 feet high so I can't adjust it as they get taller. I am going to try some LST this grow.
Others may do different, but they seem to grow well enough for me.
