I think my Candy Kush may be having some sort of deficiency, from stuff I've seen on here and other forums it seems like it could be a touch of calcium and maybe nitrogen deficiency? Some of the lower leaves are yellowing and a bunch of stems are bright red/purple.

I also have one leaf that has some pretty heavy purpling, there was a 2 day period where the day time temps in my tent were in the low 60's, much much too low and since corrected, could this be the cause?

Oh, and if it helps at all the Candy Kush is 6 weeks old. Thanks for the help everyone!

Are you pHing your feeds and testing the pH of your run off? Looks like you've got magnesium and phosphorus issues. When they happen together it's more likely your pH is off, causing a nutrient lock out situation, that actual deficiencies. Ideally the pH of your feeds and soil should be in the 6.3 - 6.5 range. If it's out of range, then you get lockout.

Yeah.. That deff got Mg and p written all over it.

Thanks guys, I do ph my water to 6.5 everytime. Strange part
is when I checked the run off maybe 2 days ago it was reading at 6.0 even, so the soil ph may even be a bit lower since the water in was 6.5.

I add 5ml/gal of calmag at every watering and some of my AN nutes have extra cal and mag in them so it must be a ph issue.

So you recommend I flush immediately, even though the soil is not dry? I also have some FF sledgehammer, would it be good to flush with that?

Thanks for the help!

If you're getting run off of 6 when feeding at 6.5, your soil pH is probably around 5.5. If you look at the charts, P, K, Cal, and Mag are all locked out at that pH. What kind of soil are you using? Did you add any dolomite lime to it?

Hey Muddy, I'm using a 4:4:1 mix of FFOF: Light Warrior: Perlite, and because I filled a 3gal smart pot I added between 2-3 tbsp, in an attempt to keep it 1tbsp per gallon.

FFOF has had quality control problems and we've seen some with the pH as low as 4.5 right out of the bag. Looks like you may have gotten some with low pH. You've got a couple options. One is flushing, and the other is finding some hydrated lime. I'm always hesitant to flush unless it's the last resort. It leaches a lot of goodness out of the soil. Hydrated lime will raise it faster than dolomite but can harm the plants if used in excess. In the mean time, mix a mild, 1/4 strength nutrient solution, pH it to 6.4 and do a foliar feed. Make sure to mist both sides of the leaves. Do that daily and it will help sustain the plants while you get the soil pH sorted.

Much much appreciated Muddy! I will give her a foliar feed tonight, anything to worry about with buds and moisture from the mist?

I'll also give the hydrated lime a chance before flushing!

If you foliar feed on the smokeable parts of the plant, rinse the whole plant in a bucket of clean pure water after you chop her up and rinse the residue off. I use three 5g buckets, like a bartender cleaning glasses, with juice of 1 lemon and 1/4 cup of baking soda in the first bucket to help neutralize/remove any molds or mildews before I dry and store/cure my product.

I'll also give the hydrated lime a chance before flushing!

As I mentioned, just be cautious with it. Start with about 1/2 tablespoon per gallon of feed. You should see the pH start to rise in 3-4 days.
