Noob needs help

Hello. this is how my tent is looking rn !!

Both plants in the back have been reversed with STS spray from CeresUK and are ~6 weeks old.

Gorilla Z Auto took 5 sprays to turn male

and the gorilla cookies auto took 6 sprays to turn.

But I can not figure out if the gc is completely male now as there grew bigger bud structures already.
But all buds seem to contain pollen pods as well... What do you think? I ran out of sts so I couldn't treat it more than six times.


The small plants in the front are gorilla cookies auto too, but those shall remain female to produce seeds. Unfortunately these have been quite slow. they only moved into the tent after sts treatment was done altogether

1. Should I harvest the pollen of the Gorilla Z soon or let it ripen more weeks?
2. Will the pollen of the GC Auto turn out good despite all that bud growth?

Technically, they're still female plants and they produce female pollen.
You got a very good reversal with the Gorilla Z. As long as you haven't sprayed or the humidity is not overly high, you can wait a little longer if you want to collect more pollen Or you can collect it now, either way.

The other girl looks like she's just gonna be a S1 seed maker. You can attempt to collect some pollen from her. If you have some large pot trays with smooth slick bottom, Just take the plant and turn it on its side and then tap the main stem or take a bamboo stick and lighly beat the plant.

You can use the same technique to collect the pollen from the Gorilla Z, just be aware that it will fly around quite a bit. Just make sure you're all your fans are turned off.

I don't know what your original intention was, but you're gonna have all sorts of cross pollenization. And that's perfectly fine if you just want seeds to plant.

Just be aware that the Gorilla Z pollen you collect could be contaminated with the other girl.

GC Auto that you sprayed should have lots of S1 seeds. You should have some browning pistils already and swelling at those sites. If you see that and want those seeds, just let her run until she's ugly as hell! you can harvest when you see the seeds trying to pop out.

Depending on when you introduced the other GC Autos to the tent, you will probably still get pollenization, but they probally won't have time to mature properly. It will be detrimental to flower production, with the plant concentrating on maturing those seeds.

My original intention was to make a lot of GC seeds for storage and to provide for friends. But while spraying, I noticed that my stoned ass mixed up some seeds. So now I got that reversed Gorilla Z in the mix.

I kinda slept a bit on the whole process and what to do next.
I will use this reddit post as reference for my next steps and just try to yield as many seeds as possible with these plants.

So my current plan is to harvest the pollen, freeze it and then use it for pollenization in two weeks time, when the younger plants start to flower. If you got any advice I would appreciate it.



What do you think will be the resulting strain of this cross pollenization?

Is it possible to recognize traits by observing these mother/father plants?

There's no telling what you'll get out of the cross. If you had grown out each one of the strains a few times, you could probably find qualities of the mother and father.

Tupperware makes these nice little small containers that will be perfect for storing your pollen. You can buy desiccant to put in there or you can just use some rice. Don't take it in and out of the freezer and fully let it thaw out before you open it up to use.

Ideally, if you just wanna play around, Harvesting the pollen from a good reversal like you got on one of those girls and then using it later to pollinate only branches, you'll actually know the lineage of the seeds you made.

Preservation of a strain, photo, I kind of think it's best to do whole plant reversal and pollenization. I guess if there's any downside, it would be that you're gonna get a ton of seeds!

I had one seed left from a Strain we grew outdoors a few years ago. the old guy hadn't replenish his stock In over two years, So I decided to make a bunch.
The last seed germinated and I took clones. I used the STS from Twenty20 and followed their directions. I got a fantastic reversal. I reversed two and had two for pollination.

And here are the results!
I gave one of the vials to the forum to be used in their giveaways so that the forum can enjoy her! I gave away some of the smaller vials to a couple of different people here for breeding.

Nice. All those seeds from an auto plant?

I just harvested 20ml of gorilla Z pollen.
I wonder if an auto seedmaker plant needs 20 hours of light as well as one thats just producing flowers.
what do you think?

Oh and I was surprised to not see any seeds forming on my gorilla cookies reversal. There has been some usable pollen, but all else is just ruined flower =/
