Problem: Larger older fan leaves spotting

Medium/grow method: 60/40 Roots organic and perlite in auto pots with air domes.

Feed: and supplements used: Mega crop and recently added bud explosion and sweet candy Also cal mag at recommended dosage. Have just switched over to advanced nutrient 3 part ph perfect.

water source: tap sits for 48 hours ph 6 to 6.5

Strain/age: Auto pounder 4 weeks ...note 3 plants of various strains unaffected thus far.

light used: big smo auto cobs

Climate: temp 77 to 80 humidity varies in mid to upper 40pct

Additional info: This problem just developed after introducing the bud explosion and sweet candy at around half strength. So far only the larger fan leaves have been affected.
Ph seems to fluctuate around the low 6s. About 2 weeks into grow, I noticed gnats from the roots soil. Stems showing no signs of red. I switched the last feeding from greenleaf to Advanced ph perfect 3 part nute line as I think my ph pen is shit. My thinking being the advanced nuts are suppossed to keep the ph perfect. Also switched water from tap to distilled..Any suggestions or advice greatly appreciated in advance.

If you saw gnats you might have larve in your soil so check the first couple inches of your soil for little white larve.I would flush with two or three gallons of distilled water then feed with veg nutes only, to early for bloom nutes.Even though your using ph perfect you should still use a ph meter just to make sure it's correct. At four weeks you should be able to use nutes at full strength but if you see tip burn back the dose down.Keep using cal/mag at one tsp per gal at every feeding.

So this pH perfect that I started to use is 3 parts. One bottle is grow one bottle is Bloom one bottle is micro but here's the rub according to the manufacturer it says to use all three of these parts from beginning to end. But you think just back off the bloom and micro and just stick with the grow until it starts to show flower sites? I guess my biggest concern is what sign of deficiency is that photo of the leaf showing?

Could be phos or potassium def due to lock out so flushing should help that.If AN say use all three than follow there insructions but normally bloom nutes arn't used until full bloom mode happens.Try getting a good ph meter just to make sure every thing is at correct ph.

:toke: MC and BE at rec' dosage you say? I think that's the problem,... notice the huge PK#'s on that BE? :hothot:-- many here found that to be too much,... get me a whole plant pic please, more clues there I think.... as is, even if there's no tip burn, you can have enough overload of some nutes like P and K which can cause Ca deficiency (uptake issue),.... how long have you been on the AN nutes, and at what dosage in the res'?

Ive switched to the AN nutes after flushing per namvet25 recommendations and it seems to have turned things around. Having issues with phone so Im unable to get pics at the moment.. Zero tip burn . Im actually not using the big res that came with pots as it had a crack in it on delivery. Im basically just adding nutes to the tray the pot sits in. To be honest I think I may stick with that as the res takes up space and ive heard some complain about ph fluctuations with the res. Im using the AN nutes at about 75pct rec dosage.. So far so good. Flushing seemed to get rid of gnat issue as well....fingers crossed.

I used the MC on my last grow in cloth pots, top fed. Probably my weakest grow out of the 4 Ive done so far. Ive seen amazing results on here from folks using it, but Im not sold. Always had good luck with the AN nutes, and will probably just stick with them in the future, albeit they are more expensive.

Hopefully a good ph meter will arrive today. The flushing seemed to do the trick so far. Cant thank you enough.

Also youre correct on the bloom nutes. I dont use the 3rd part until bud sites appear. Not sure what I was thinking when i wrote that.. Probably shouldnt smoke before I write.
