Hi,
I use Hesi fertilizer and they have a schedule on their website, but I thought Auto flowering plants would need a diffrent schedule, since the website only shows 1 schedule I assume it is for photo plants. Also i thought indica / sativa / hybrid strains would need diffrent EC levels.

So my question is:
Is there a safe way to determine the right EC for the plants?

many greets

Hey bro,

I just checked the Hesi hydro schedule and it looks quite good for autos.

The thing to keep in mind is that autos rarely tolerate much more than 1000 or 1200 EC even at their most vigorous.

I use my nutes as directed by the manufacturer then thin them out to the following as a guide but will adjust if they need more or less and may make some compensation if I am getting a lot of evap.

Seedling: 400-600ec
Veg: 600-900ec
Flower: 900-1100ec

Always keeping an eye for any major color change etc. Each strain can react differently which is a challenge if you have multiple strains using the one system.

YMMV!

Hope that helps!

thanks alot for your reply!
Today I saw a grow report, Link here and in flowering 1.8 EC was used. His plants look pretty healthy, so is it even okay to go to 1.8 EC in flowering?

best wishes

It's difficult to compare, my nute schedule would be double if I went with the manufacturer recommend and they will not take that much apart from perhaps at their most vigorous!

Push your girls as much as you can but watch for any burn or N tox
