Good evening guys, I've tried adding bloom solution diluted to 25% to my plants and I'm still getting some nutrient burn. Is it because of the enriched organics of the Ocean Forest soil I'm using?

I'm careful not to add any veg nutrients and bloom nutrients until 4-6 weeks after transplant. I tend to feed roughly every 10 days

The strain in question is Hijack Auto and I've had similar problems in the past with HA and nutrient burn. Photo-sensitive plants gulp the stuff I feed them but other auto's I've grown also seem delicate in that regard.

Can a 10 or 15% dilute solution of Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Bloom (for instance) whenever I water be enough to nourish my plants?
Do I actually need to add anything at all given the 70-80 day germination to harvest?

Lastly, is there a way to determine what a particular strain might do best with nutritionally speaking to avoid burn?

Silly question perhaps...

Oceans forest is a little hot, Do you use a seed starter mix on top of it, I'v found you get less burn if you put 2 to 3 inches of starter mix. that way by the time the roots get to the ffof there older and can handle the hotter mix.....I have grown ffof to 80 days with no nutrients and got good results..

What's up man. I've used ocean forest for a lot of my grows. Most of the time it would be sufficient enough for the plants in the first 3-4 weeks. My rule of thumb was to start feeding lightly at 3 weeks. In my experience all autos are different. Some will take anything you throw at them and ask for more. While others are very picky and can be a pain when you are trying to keep them happy.

Some of the diavolo I grew was very picky. I would feed her lightly and she would burn, then I would back off and she would show signs of deficiency. Out of 5 beans only 1 was a satisfying grow (I'm picky). I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's really all about just reading your girls. Start off feeding lightly and work up. If they need less try diluting it more. Maybe just try and use plain water if they aren't showing signs of deficiency. Or possibly do a feeding and plain water cycle. Hope it helps man.
