Hey folks, sorry if this is a dumb question But, The biggest bud on my plant leaves are starting to yellow ( due to age I assume ). The lower bud leaves are still pretty green. Is it ok to cut the top and let the lower leaves go? As usual I overthink things and thought if I cut the main bud site it may damage the lower ones as far as engeryuseage goes. thanks in advance.

you can harvest parts separately but make sure its ready otherwise itll be a waste, they put on the most weight near the end and if taken early itll be all stalk and not too nice.. if in doubt leave it be.

how old is it?
can you check trics?
and post some pics.

thanks< i will try to get a decent pic tomorow and post. im in week 9 (approx ) of an ak grow

no problem, good stuff i think youll get more useful/definite answers once pics are up.
i would guess that its not ready and is just a bit hungry or yellowing naturally but thats just a wild guess based on the age anyway. some are ready early but seedbank estimates are usually off by one or two+ weeks and are minimums.

it dont think its for lack of nutes, i have been feeding once a week with sea grow flowering fert for the last 3 alternating with water. But i will hopefully get some pics tomorrow.

yeh thats just my vague guess for now anyway, not enough to go on to get it right .
sounds pretty standard anyway just coming to near the end. just cut down a plant early (day 76) due to hermies and its annoying after so
long to end up with something less than it could have been. if in doubt it can go longer imo

so when they say 8-14 week think it could go as long as 16 weeks? I've also heard they mature faster indoors?

i grew for a month indors, it got to big and had to put it outside.

im not sure really, some might happily, also depends what type of effect you want from it.
i just know that seedbank estimates are skewed by them flowering as early as possible by not really giving N for long enough, also based on optimal conditions and just generally wanting to make it seem more appealing.
just from what i read anyway, feel free to correct. yeh i think muddy was saying usually around one week later to harvest outdoors.
ive never gotten an auto to 14 weeks just due to time constraints :cuss:
guests are always on the horizon.. need a bigger house.
