New Grower old potting soil and a airpot question

Hi, have some Pot of Gold potting soil. Did a couple grows with it,
wife complained about the stink, so I had to quit while I got the stuff
for a tent grow.

The potting soil has been sitting in the cellar for several months, and sometimes
it's damp down there. It looks and smells fine, maybe I'm being paranoid.

Anyway, chance it, or get new?

I got an airpot, any tricks to using it? I was thinking of using a dish
from a regular pot to catch runoff.

I use knew mix on every grow because you never know if there are insects or something that could cause desease.You can buy cheap plastic catch trays at walmart or most garden stores.I use air pots and love them but if they are dry renenber to water slowly,give them water wait a few minutes and add some more ,do this until you have runoff .Alittle water might come out the holes until it gets moist but that should run down the pot into the catch tray.After a little practice you will get the hang of it.:smokebuds:

Can you carry a Airpot with soil in it, or do you have to pick it up using
the catchtray?
