Hello everyone! Tumbleweed59 here. There isn’t much to say about myself other than I’m retired, taking care of my business, and enjoying my family for the first time in years. I have heard that being retired one needs to have a hobby. I’ve done everything else hobby wise that I like except for cultivating cannabis. I gave it a try years ago and was fairly successful with what there was at the time to grow with. But in researching my new hobby I have found a lot of things have changed. So I thought I would give hydroponics a try. I figured all the money that I spent buying what I enjoyed consuming over the years probably bought a couple cars and a house for someone who wasn’t me. So with a small investment and some remedial knowledge I began my hobby last year. I managed to squeeze out a couple of good crops that gave me my return on my investment. But there were problems that made my harvest smaller than what I feel they should’ve been. So here I am on the network hoping that I could get some pointers tips and tricks to make sure that I get as much bang for my buck and effort.
I’m looking forward to conversations and making new friends along the way. Because what better way to make friends then to have something in common with those one is talking with.
Thanks to all

Thanks to all. I look forward to my experience on AFN. I will be posting a new grow journal shortly with some pictures of my set up. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated As I do have some questions regarding some issues I had with my earlier grows.

Keep growin’ and smokin’! :growing::pass:

These days it's quite amazing just how many products are available to growers. I remember grows in closets with just a florescent light. Nothing else. Very rudimentary. What kind of setup are you running. Lights/nutes/medium etc. Hope all goes swimmingly.

I posted a grow journal yesterday with a couple of pics of what I’ve got. It’s a bit humorous when you read responses. But that’s what we’re here for to find out what we’re doing wrong and hopefully fix it before things go horribly bad.

Same here bro, retired and now with all that behind including the week of sleeping in and staying up late I’m ready to try and figured autos were a the way to begin .... Myself I am a HUGE Organic Guy / Gardener and in fact raise my own worm poop and can grow some Flippin Huge Plants, all varieties so why not some smoke .....

Me, like you, have spent plenty of money and while I don’t expect to recoup investment, any time soon, i do expect better quality and satisfaction from growing my own ..... and like you relationships are everything - best to ya Brother!

Thanks @MrOldBoy! We fellow growers have to stick together. I just processed my second plant from my most recent grow. Check me out in the new growers forum to see what I went through to get this point. I will be posting an update with the final tally shortly.

And good to meet you! :thumbsup:

Will do tumbleweed
