I amazon primed one of the flanges/shroud it will be here tomorrow and I will try it out. You can get them cheaper but impatience won the battle so I got the $15 one that would be to my door fastest. I will come back here tomorrow night and let you guys know how it worked out.

Totally forgot to come back here about this, my bad. The flange fit the fan really well, it’s not a perfect seal but it didn’t appear to be pulling air through any gaps. When hooked up to a carbon filter I know it was pulling air because I stuck a piece of toilet paper against the filter and it was held in place by the air being pulled through it. I am fully confident this would work as a means to control scent during drying, however it was not moving air quickly enough to keep my lights from driving temps above 80 in my tent. This could be due to the length of the ducting between the fan and the filter (longer duct makes it more work for the fan making it less effective), or maybe the flange and the fan need a better seal around the edges. I may mess around with it some more, but as it stands right now I’d definitely say this could work for a drying tent.

Yeah, it works perfectly for drying. You don't have lights to cool when drying. Length of the duct plays a role Airflow. But you have constant negative pressure, so you won't have smells while drying or growing. 80f is not bad with lights on, perfect for starting plants. You can get it down lower, unless your whole room is close to 80f of course. Mine stays perfect with lights on and fan on. If I want to start seeds, I use it with no fan on and my temps go up to 80 or so. But remember, you built this as a drying tent and only spent $11 on the fan. If you want to upgrade fans later to grow with lower temps, you can always do so. Good luck.

quick update

Port & Stilton is in jars.weight was 98 grams

the tops of the Jammy Dodgers that cut off are 33 grams.The other half is still in the tent

i smoked both already and I'll do a proper smoke report in about 2 weeks but I'll give you guys a quick one

Jammy = smoked a bud Sunday morning around 11am after i ate breakfast.Its a heavy indica,nice deep stone that put me to sleep within 45 mins after smoking it and i didnt wake up until halftime of the football game that came on at 3:30.Definitely not a daytime smoke at all.I recommend only smoking this one at night.If you love heavy indicas(i dont) then this one is for you

P&S = been smoking this one since yesterday afternoon and wow this one is a powerhouse.nice sativa/indica balance...probably slightly indica leaning.long lasting daydreamy relaxing type of high.It will have you zoning out for long periods of time to the point someone can be right in your face calling your name and you wont hear them at all(yes that actually happened to me last night lol).Out of the 5 meph strains i smoked so far this is easily the best one and its not even close.Its not a morning smoke because you will feel some fatigue after a couple hours and you'll become a little lethargic but it wont put you to sleep,Its an afternoon and night smoke.To me this is an excellent just getting off work and ready to relax type of smoke
