Totally forgot to come back here about this, my bad. The flange fit the fan really well, it’s not a perfect seal but it didn’t
appear to be pulling air through any gaps. When hooked up to a carbon filter I know it was pulling air because I stuck a piece of toilet paper against the filter and it was held in place by the air being pulled through it. I am fully confident this would work as a means to control scent during drying, however it was not moving air quickly enough to keep my lights from driving temps above 80 in my tent. This could be due to the length of the ducting between the fan and the filter (longer duct makes it more work for the fan making it less effective), or maybe the flange and the fan need a better seal around the edges. I may mess around with it some more, but as it stands right now I’d definitely say this could work for a drying tent.
