New Grower ordering soil??

Ive been looking around for some fox farms OF online but the shipping is ridiculous. DO anyone know where i can get some where the shipping dosent cost more than the product. any help is much appreciated thanks

Shipping charges on anything heavy, like bags of soil, have gotten outrageous and will only continue to go up with fuel prices on the rise. Check local hydro stores, nurseries and garden centers. Also consider using Pro-Mix instead of . Check their web site here: http://www.premierhort.com/eProMix/index.htm. They have a dealer locater on the site.

i used both of those links they didnt really help because im kinda out the way of any hydro shops so to speak of. So no one knows of an online retailer with lower shipping. I just cant pay 35 for shipping when the soil is only like 20 bucks

The shipping costs "are what they are"...

Here's a link that has FD's grow mix ingredients and amounts... If I wasn't so old and lazy, I would be using this instead of OF.

I'm kind of in the same situation as you, the only thing I have locally is Lowes and we all know they don't sell much that is useful to MJ growers. I found a greenhouse supply store about 40 miles away that sells Pro-Mix. I go there about twice a year and stock up. Usually 2 or 3 compressed 3.8 cu. ft. bales of Pro-Mix, a big bag of perlite, plus any other supplies I need. Then I take another trip about the same distance in the other direction and buy worm castings in bulk. Even with the cost of gas in my old gas guzzling pickup, it's still much cheaper than mail order.

I live around zero grow shops and only 1 green house and they are useless because they use only chemical lased soils and nutrients.

So I go to Wal-Mart and get a bag of Miracle Gro Organic Choice, I know its MG but its good stuff because it is truly organic so look at some of my grows if you don't believe it works...

Get some pro mix and order some nutes. I got 3/4 bag I will sell you. I am not impressed with it at all. It is mostly peat moss anyway. I am a firm believer miracle grow outgrows it. If you do get so ffof I would get the same amount of perlite or something of the sort.
