can anyone take a look at and double check this #'s?

pc fan question:

-------

the ac/dc adapter is rated at 12v 2A
- currently running 3 pc fans @ .16ma each (160 x 3 = 480ma)

im looking to add a couple of fans / maybe replacing my exhaust with higher CFMs

http://www.ebay.com/itm/270977126404...84.m1423.l2649
- rated at 170ma per fan

if my calculation is correct -- i would be able to add 3 more of those fans (from the link) = 6 fans total with my adapter @ full speed?

current: 160ma x3 = 480ma
+
future fan purchase: 170ma x 3 = 510ma

510ma + 480ma = 990ma.

2A - 990ma = 1010ma remaining?

thoughts?

Nothing wrong with your math

thanks hazy! -- i needed an extra set of eyes for safety.

---

now its the waiting game (for the fans to come in) so i can update my set up.

I just got an old 12v charger out of the drawer, and hooked it up to a pc fan.

It's been working 24/7 since then.
