So I've made the change over to autos just recently due to my new location. (job related move) Also I've had to scale my grow size back too. So with that being said I decided to try out using a pc tower case as my first grow. I'm normally a DWC grower but decided to do soil this time around. Here is my current set up:

Cool Master PC tower case
2 120mm PC fans one exhaust one intake
2mm Mylar with black backing
FFOF soil
FF nutrient trio
Acu-Rite Humidity/Temp monitor
100w UV BlackStar LED light
Ona Block

I am just doing one plant at the moment to allow more growth. I drilled holes into the pot for LST later. My light is 5 inches above the seedling currently. The stretching that you see occurred while it was under a CFL light. Since being under the LED show hasn't stretched beyond that. Everyone seems to have an opinion on LEDs and the right wattage so I just made a decision based on some research I did for about a week. So every Monday I will update with anything that happens and changes. Any suggestions, comments, criticism is welcome and appreciated.

So two days later here is what my girl looks like. No nutrients yet and have her on a 20/4 light cycle. She loves the LED.

For sure gona follow this thread. Planing on also going LEDs in a micro grow box 2ft high 18 w 12 deep..

So here is my little girl today. The stem has fattened up a lot and growth has been fantastic. I started a tsp/gallon of Big Grow this watering. The ph level is 6.8, temp is 79 degrees steadily and humidity is 50%. The lighting schedule is 18/6, I figured she could use a rest. I know I can run 24/0 but she has reacted well to this light schedule. She loves the LED and so do I. Give her another week before I start LST probably.

Here is today's pic of my lady. Growth is pretty steady with no issues, for now. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the start of my first soil/led/pc grow. Ph is steady with no weird fluctuations. The leaves are super dark. (the light colored green you're seeing is from the flash.)

Looks very happy and healthy!

Will be following this one too always intested in small led grows looking nice and healthy good luck to you

So based on my last pic, do you think I can start LST now or should I wait longer? First time I am doing LST and I got the idea, its just when to start it I am trying to figure out. I like just letting them grow but that isn't possible for this grow.

Let her get bigger and see what she's gonna look like. I usually start when there are at least two good sets of leaf growth. Then start by slowly bending and tying. Some plants don't need to be LST'd. The stems of my Nirvana Short Riders were thick from the very start. Very hard to get a good bend. They were short enough and only needed some lsting when the got into flowering. There are many ways to do low stress training. My Bubblicious Redu thread shows how I do it.
