New Grower Ph of feed - water 5.5 or not????

Hi guys I am now mulling over the question of the right PH when mixing feed and or water.. My question is:- In soil ie Canna pro mix when feeding is it good to keep the PH of the feed or water at 5.5 throughout the grow it is just that in various literature it does say different things.. many thanks to anyone who can contribute in advance much appreciated.

i wouldnt go that low unless hydro , in soil/soiless aim for 6.2-6.5

I was told 5.5 in order to compensate for a rise once in the soil, have I got this wrong???

check out the forum for the ph posts , graphs are posted showing the proper ph for soil and hydro , and 5.5 is way low for soil , maybe they figure a 5.5 before use to bring it down from a higher level from the bag

the soiless i use is pro-mix and it is consistently in the 7 range right out of the bag , i ph my water to 6.2-6.5 each time and (knock on wood) have never come across any ph issues

also , when useing ferts check/adjust the ph after adding the ferts because most chemical/salt based ferts will lower ph
