is all the ph test stipes the same pool hydro aquraum ? thats what i have right now for a pool

Not as precise as pH pen. But faster, cheaper. And don't need pH pen calibrations.
I use them, nothing wrong. If you can, get one with scale pH 5-9 instead of 1-14. Scale is more precise.
