Just joined AFN today so Hey guys! have been planning a grow op for some time now. I've so far purchased a green chamber gc240 tent 2.4mx2.4mx2.0m, cyco nutrients, 5 dinafem white widow auto and orginal amnesia auto seeds. Going to purchase 2 600w hps dimmable lights running on 18/6, as for the grow system im gona purchase dwc oxy potz 10 of them. Ventilation is what i need abit of advice on as i will be exhausting and using inline fans to bring in co2 to da tent...

thanks and any help or advice would be much appreciated

Welcome!

As a tangent answer to your ventilation question....look into LED's instead of incandescents.....way less power usage, WAY less heat than 1200W of HPS. May make your life way easier as it relates to temp control.

My 2 cents. Haven't grown Deep Water Culture, but I assume it generates more Relative Humidity....

Folks with more experience with both (ventilation and DWC) will chime in.

Again, Welcome! :)

Hey thanks for ur input pal, will look into LEDs

Hello NMJ, I agree Trapper50cal. LEDs make it easy to control the temp. I have a tiny tent approx. 1 meter cubed and a 300W-380W LED. My ventilation system consists of a 4" fan and filter. I have the fan on a variable speed control. My tent is in a space that has maintained about 65F deg. of ambient temp. I can run the tent down to about 70F deg by cranking the fan. Then it's a matter radiant energy and the temp varies by how close I put the light to the canopy/thermometer. Good luck.

thanks bro i feel really convinced about LEDs now :D

The one thing you have to be more "on top of" with LED's is their tendency to produce Cal/Mag deficiencies in your plants. There are multiple theories as to why this is the case but ultimately those theories are secondary to the fact that everyone agrees it's happening. Easy enough to solve with a regular regimen of Cal/Mag supplement.

how would i notice Cal/Mag deficiencies

It's generally pretty easy to spot. One of the easier ones IMHO

What a "worm can/pandora's box/red pill" question.....

GENERALLY....color fading out of the leaves (starting at the bottom I believe) and little brown spots forming on the leaves.

Roll up your sleeves, get a beverage and start reading my friend ;)
