What size was the grow space:
60x75cm for the most part, later moved into one side of 80x150cm

Spectrum used:

• 12 of 3 watts Royal Blue 455nm
• 28 of 3 watts Red 623nm
• 28 of 3 watts Hyper Red 660nm
• 8 of 3 watts 3500K Warm White

Customer service rating..1-5: 5, Richard, the owner / guy who makes the lights is knowledgable and polite.

Wattage of the LED ( actual power draw if poss):
Led power 140 watts.
Total power consumption 155 watts (including drivers).

Optics used: 3 watts Genuine Osram Oslon SSL 80 leds.

Build quality: May look like it was built by hand, because it was! Extremely well built, tough, and truly smart design. All parts are hand picked and the highest quality.

Warranty length: 2 years of full coverage.

Any noticeable plant deficiencies:
Only the usual LED issues with Magnesium and Calcium.

Value for Money Rating..1-5: 5. Not a low cost light, but I wanted one that lasts.

The light is so strong, that it took me weeks to dial in the distance from the canopy. No wonder the light has three modes - Eco, Veg and Bloom. Without Eco, which is in the veg spectrum, I would only be able to grow autos that stay flat on the soil. Truly powerful light, best to wait with full power until your plant has serious sun-collectors.

Dutch Passion's Think Different sweated 85 days under this light. This is my first serious grow (3rd in total), so I suspect the results can be taken much further by expert hands:

His site a few weeks ago . And the panels look awsome . But for around $600 usd including shipping for a 140 actual watt panel is stupid crazy ..

Yes, agreed @resinous . I think his curse is that he is too honest about actual wattage, so when you compare prices with other mfg's it looks like it's expensive for 140W. But then again, other mfg's would label this as a 250-300W LED...and for that, it's not pricey at all. Just got my Mars Cree128 not long ago, ~300W total at best, cost a bit more even. So ultimately, I think the price is in line with other brands, but the build is more solid. IMO only of course :smoking:

I'm fixing to get the amare technologies se250 which is 250 actual watts .. it uses 4 top bin cree cxb 3070 .. 4 cree 5w leds .. I'm pretty excited.

hi guys, nice plant dude, I actually own two DS 140's the rectangular ones, for these reasons, low input, very high output as they are Osram SSL80 Oslons, highest outputting leds on the market I believe and a lot longer lifespan.
and to be fair, ive seen the Amare led light way back when it first come out, area51 copy perhaps? who knows, who cares? it was white and did quite a good job but seriously, you cant compare output of those crees to the Osram family surely?
plus isn't the amare just another big square old led with noisy fans? The PP is the coolest and quietest non passive cooled led grow light ive seen. Hence me buying a couple.
each to their own tho bro. horses for coarses an all that. Peace to all led lovers is the main thang if we all had the same it would be sooo boring.

The cree128? I'll find out soon, first grow on it at the moment! ...but so far so good. I have two plants under it, one isn't doing too hot (most likely for other reasons), the other is doing excellent. I think the cree128 is a fine light, a bit noisier than my PPs.

PP is indeed quiet, mostly because of the open design and the extra quiet fans.

Why not to compare the Cree with the Osram? Interestingly I already see much wider leaves under the Cree, which I'm not sure what to make of. Does the plant need wider light collectors to get what it needs? Under the PP, the leaves are thinner, so I'd suspect it's more powerful. This is all guessing of course, no science behind it :smoking:

hi mate, well I can only speak best in pictures than words, so if you don't mind bro, ill post a picture of my current plant.
Dinafem Sour Diesel Auto, Day 49, its been under one of those DS 140 panels since week 2, I germinated and started it under the smaller DS-90.
I have four other Dfem blue amnesia xxl autos sitting in 15L airpots on the floor to the left of her, under the second led, quite a distance away and still growing strong.

no thin leaves there ma friend. its just a bit slower than other Osrams, because of the lack of secondary lenses, its more gentle.
my mates got the other type of Osram lights the GOD series and yeah they kick ass but I like it nice and slow and gentle. not furious and fast! lol.
plus they are very quiet indeed, and very very cool running, to germinate, I have to hang my DS-90 2 inches above the soil. lol.
just to get a decent germing temp of 88F, I like a quick soak and quick germ,. lol,.
