I noticed a couple of stems having leaves like this yesterday. At first I was thinking tip burn, but the impacted leaves also showed burning on the edges. Strange because ppms actually decreased over the week, since I cut the nutes in the top off tank to 20%. Could be some sort of deficiency? Could she have not had enough of something available to her in the tank? It is only on a few stems of Queen 1. Queen 2 in the same res is not showing any signs.

Anyway, it was time for reservoir change, so that should help immediately. I brought ppm back up to 1100, but would like to know if I should increase the top off tank from 20% to 50% strength. If that may have been the issue. Any help is appreciated.

:toke:-- tell me about your nutes, and usual pH and ppm's,.. any hiccups there recently? this looks like K defc, which can mimic nute burn sometimes,.. usually a tell for K defc is how the margin "teeth" get that tip browning,... Ironically, this also what K toxicity does too! But if ppm's have been on the low side, pH OK, then most likely it's not nute burn,...
How close is the light? this can be a factor as well,.... get me a whole plant pic or two please....

Thanks @Waira. That is what concerned me. Nute levels actually decreased the week this started. My ph has been consistently between 5.8 and 6.0, but I had not calibrated in a while. I think it was reading lower ph than it should have been. After the reservoir change, I calibrated and have kept it in the 5.6 to 5.8 range.

The lights are about 24 inches away now. There was really no change there, except the plants may have grown a couple inches closer over the course of the week. Here are some more pics.

I don't think I am seeing any new issues since the recalibration and reservoir change, but would love to know for sure what happened.

Thanks for your help.

:smoking: yup, they look stout overall to me! If symptoms progression has halted more or less, that's a good sign,.. everything happens faster in hydro, one brief hiccup and there it is-
...Keep an eye on the tops for more color fade, if any "zebra striping" interveinally starts up,... I'm hedging against a possible micronute defc. kicking in,.. usually this is Zn, Fe, B, or Mn,....sometimes S,... best ticket for this, prevention included is a dedicated micronutrient supplement (Earth Juice makes a great on),... compound that with Ful-Power (pure fulvic acid, clear pale ale color, no significant ppm's added, or pH change) for further chelation and other great benefits, and you're rolling phat! Look up the article here in Reference for more on humic-fulvics- :greenthumb:

Thanks Waira! I didn’t see any new discoloration since the reservoir change, but will watch closely! Thanks for your help! My journal is in the signature.
