I've got a small cabinet stealth grow going with six Purple Ryders that will probably soon reveal their gender. I want to produce some seeds, collect some pollen for later pollinations, and also have some bud to smoke. I don't have any other safe location in which to keep a male.
I'm wondering what the best strategy is to get some seeds and still have something to smoke. What would happen if I just let a male release some pollen into the cabinet while the plants are just getting started flowering? If the females are pollinated early do they stop putting out new buds? I'm really not picky about bud form...if I can pick out the seeds and have some shake to smoke that's cool. (But of course I dream of having some really fat smokeable buds.) Otherwise I have to figure out a way to grow a male inside a plastic bag or something until I can collect pollen. I'm not sure how that's going to work.
One more note: I'm not able to access this grow every day. I monitor it with a webcam. The less I access it the better, for security purposes.
