image.jpgMy female has shown her sex and I am having some problems with the leaves. I am using a 220 Veg master. I have been giving my plant very small amount of nutes. I think I may have started the nutes to soon. Also I am having problems with my other plants leaves touching the soil and turning the leaves brown any suggestion on how to stop that. Has anyone has that problem

she looks ready for nutes, but dont overdo it!!! Looks to me like a ph problem. What is your ph feed in and water until runoff and check your ph of the runoff and post it and someone will get back to ya!! Post this in the live help thread as well and some one will be there for ya ASAP, but give ALL the details of ALL your controlables!!(lights, medium, temps, ph in and out, ect.) This helps with a better diagnosis.

Like said above need more details to really give input. Or post in the live help thread they are great with this stuff ^^. Too me, it looks like ph issues as wel or soil is pretty hot. Need to really know what medium, nutes using, and age for that. But again best to tell every detail about the grow ^^.

Hope they can help you bud.

That prop looks like overwatered girls ;) how much water u give them per feeding??

I agree, we need more information before we can make a diagnosis. What soil, what nutes, how often are you feeding and at what strength? The pH of your feeds and the pH of your run off. The more information you can give us the better we can make recommendations.

The soil mix I am using is sunshine mix#4 the plant is 23 days old. Temp is 78-80 F never higher. Nutrients are Liquid Karma, Proteck Silicon, GH flora Nova Grow and I have some CalMag. My last feed was super small. 1 gallon mixes with Half ml of LK, 1/3ml of flora grow, 1/2 ml calmag . The TDS of the water is 260 or a little higher after everything has been mixed. Water is ph to 6.5 and the run off is 6.8 I am hoping she is hungry because she is showing sex now. Also the light schedule is 20/4 grown under a 220 veg master. I am taking baby steps on feeding due to me being so new

i would say up the feed and lower the ph , ss4 is a soiless , kinda between soil and hydro , at this stage of your plants life id be shooting for 6.2

peace

With feeds of 6.5 and run off at 6.8, your actual soil pH is right around 7 - 7.1, which is what I would expect to see from Sunshine #4 right out of the bag. As b0b said, you want to shoot for a pH around 6.2 - 6.3. I would suggest you pH your feeds to around 6. Over time that will help to lower the soil pH. Also keep in mind that Sunshine #4 does not contain any nutrients so it's up to you to give the plant everything it needs. At 23 days old you should be feeding about 1/4 of the recommended dose, upping that to 1/2 strength soon.

Thanks for all the quick replies . Also I have a Red Dwarf that the leaves are turning brown. I have already trimmed two sets of leaves and I am getting kinda mad. I have only giving this thing water and Liquid Karma. It's hard to see buts it's there. I don't know why the leaves are dragging the dirt

If it's also in the Sunshine #4, then it's the same issues. High pH and lack of feeding.
