New Grower Pot size

Cheers muddy, ive had a look and my main issue is I have one tent and a airring cupboard...tents gonna hold the 600w hps and airring cupboard my 250w cfl. Do you think it will be ok to have them under the cfl for 5weeks? Then under the 600w so I only have to wait 5weeks till each chop and hopefully still pull 12oz from 6 think differents? My main goal is being able to have little wait between each crop. Cheers

i think you would be better leaving them under the 600w light from start to finish

I know but id like to have as least wait as possible..if I only use my 600w itll be 10weeks from seed plus a week drying..i could veg a photo plant under cfl and pop it under 600w for flower and itll be the same time as I can always have the next lot vegging.

first off gl wit ur grow man
i seen the topic name and figured i ask here sry if im off topic or hijacking in anyway but the topic of pot size what is the logic behind it? meaning
does depth matter
does width matter does length matter
does height matter
i mioght be asking in a way that is confusing lol
for example say i had a 10 liter pot that was tall and sum wat skinny and then i had another 10 liter pot that was shorter but much wider would the roots or plant like or do better in 1 over the other becuz there no doubt u get potenial for bigger plant in bigger pot sry if im being confusing

Od guess it doesnt matter I mean 10l room is 10l of room regardless of shape?

I just wanna know im not gonna waste my time n yield a pathetic 4oz from 9 plants after wasting money on my electric bill.

I dont think an oz per plant under a 600w is even a great yield but that I could live with.

i hear ya man i grow wit a 400 watt hps and the effect on my bill is really not noitcable now im not sure about a 600 watt but dont really use as much as 1 would think when i started using my 400 watt i was expecting sum big bill runnin it 20hrs a day but was not the case also a good idea would be to set ur electric bill up on a budget plan if ur provider offers that basicly they take ur past usages and they divide it by 12 months weather u use more electric then previous year and u have set low price every month much better and u actually can save money this way the budget price will be updated every couple months depending on usage but not much diffrence in them raising or lower it

Hoping you get the yield you are striving for.
@fullauto. Like ninja said 10l is 10l.

Much luck to ya ninja. One love:smokebuds:
Bigger the pots, the bigger the root ball,, the bigger the yield

yes i no the bigger the pot the bigger the plant/yield
im just wondering if there was any diffrence in the dimensions of that said pot that would make a difference in anyway i might be ova thinking this but just curious
like say i had pots wit the dimensions of 19in W 18in L 8in H which would hold about 45 liters of soil now say i had a pot 15.5in W 15in L 12in H which will hold just about the same liters of soil now would the second pot be better cause it was taller or the volume is same so the root system will be just as big in both im just asking cus i could use the first pot better cus it would limit problems wit heaight issues to light plant would start at 8in from the light instead of 12 in from the light but still have the same volume i think im making sense probly just over thinkin idea in my head lol o well

soon as i plant the cream caramel i will be doing a diary on here for all to follow. Might try and find 9l pots online and go with them. I really think i should be able to get 9oz from 9 plants. Ive read others diary and seen people hitting over an oz per plant. Im gonna try these and depending how they go will decide if i bother with the think different. I mean i can veg under my cfl a few photo plants and wait an extra 2weeks to get plants with a higher thc and more likely too yield 2oz per plant. My only reason for doing autos was in the hope i can have the following crop down quicker. I was hoping for around a 5week wait.

Most say they take 8weeks so thought i could veg under 250w cfl for 3weeks. Move plants under the 600w for 5weeks. 2weeks before the chop date start another load under the cfl and after the week dry shove them inside my 600w.
