Hi Everyone,

I was reading some growing ideas on plant scrogging. My Blackberry Kush's have fat ass fan leaves that are dark green. and I think they will need to open up a bit pretty soon. So I was thinking about Scrogging. So Some of the things that people are concerned about when Scrogging is if the plants have a problem they are difficult to move around.

My idea is, PPMS Personal Plant Micro Scrogging. On each plant I want to cut about an 24" (60 cm) squarish ( not sure of shape yet) of this fencing that has squares that are 2x4 inches. I guess it is just wire type fencing. But, I think if you could fold upward about 9 or so inches (23 cm ), with cuts at the corners to make that possible, then as the center gets full, and you want to go wider as the plant grows you could fold down the last part, depending on need. This would give you 12 (30 cm) inches on each side of the plant at full scrog (fs), and at half scrog (hs) about 7.5 inches (19 cm).

I think it will work.

One reason I think it will work better is because you can start them earlier, you don't have to wait for sexing first. Just remove the scrogged male if you so desire.

One reason I think it will be not as good. What if your plant grows wider than your scrogg.

No Problem, PPMS wiing accessories - Little pieces that are triangled and laid over existing wire fence, perfectly aligned of course.

Maybe I could make a beer bong to water with?

Thats all I got. What do you think?

Opinions gratefully accepted.

Okay, the size of the PPMS is up for debate, might be a bit big in a small area, but I figure only the last few weeks.

bye again

Have you considered bicycle rims as a scrog frames?....many different sizes out there...remove the spokes and run wire/string/fishing line through the spoke holes to make your own custom sized netting....if it needs more screen one could place a larger diameter rim around the first rim and re-string the gap to suit the need... this way you could have each plant with it's own screen making them potentially mobile...the rim could have legs attached either to the pot or to the outside of the pot and strap them on.....and bike rims can often be gotten free from bike shops or rubbish disposal places if they are a little warped...using 2 rims one slightly smaller than the other and inserted 45* one inside the other would make [from side on view] a wobbly 'X' profile....string the upper halves of the rims and you would have a 'V' scrog screen?

LB Youuuurrrree A genius!!! We got plenty of those around that are not in use. Now to find the right size,

You could have it graduated, and look like a fountain.

So by taking maybe just some of the spokes out and using them holes to make cross stitiches??

Yeah, that is an idea, we shall see..

Musturd is a bike machanic he just ran into his shop. I'm guessing he will have one made in a few minutes. Will get back to you....

Thanks Eek....
If you want a wobbly 'X' but only have 2 rims the same size, cut one rim and interlink them so rim 'a' and rim 'b' are connected like chain links...fit them together and screw/bolt the rims together to make a secure wobbly 'X'

Good idea! ...smaller rims in the middle...larger rims raised higher...you could string them to make a bowl-like scrog screen... :D with a cfl in the center one could potentially grow a bowl-scrog!

I have a feeling Musturd is all over this. Thats why you don't give smart people good ideas. You'll never see them again!
