Indoor Prepping for next grow ..... Advice please?

Hey AFN

i am almost ready to start my next grow here is a breakdown of what I am using.

1.2x1.2x2.0 tent
600w hps ds bulb
15l standard round pots
5"rvk extraction with passive intake

so my question is .... I have 7 autoxtreme seeds and am unsure whether it would be beneficial to plant all 7 or only say 4? Would I be sacrificing final yield if I only did 4 or would they yield the same as say 7?

any advice would be great

Hey bro - I have a bit of insight here as I pack my tent to the rafters! I use a 1m x1m x2m tent with a 600W and I grow 9 at a time in 15L pots. It gets really crowded, and if I grow one of the bigger strains, it becomes close to unmanageable and the plants end up stressed!
Yield is more likely to be affected by light than plant numbers - you could put 30 plants in small pots and yield the same as 4 plants in large pots - so its more about grower choice and workload (the more plants you have, the more work you need to do!)

This is a pic of my tent yesterday at day 60 with 4xSweet Seeds auto Green Poison & 5 x Dinafem auto Original Amnesia. As you can see its a bit crowded in there!

So in all honesty, with a strain like the autoxtreme, I would go for lower numbers of bigger plants - they will be much happier and you won´t make life as difficult for yourself. Hope that makes sense bro - I´ve just smoked a bowl with my morning coffee so I may be rambling!

I'm now in the middle of a jungle in my room..i have same size area as you have with same lamp act..and i have 2x automazar, 3x think different and 1x auto extreme (all in 15L airpots) and i really recommend you to put 3-4 plants in there..it gets really crowded and hard to take care of them with watering and so on..i wish i had fewer plants going on now..there is not too much space for all… maybe to put even 2plants in there and do some Lst..

just my opinion..you have some big plants to deal with

Thats a really tough question to answer as it depends on so many factors. I normally achieve somewhere between 0.6 & 0.8 gram per watt depending on the strain, but I tend to switch them to flowering nutes very early (as soon as they start shooting pistils) which usually means they finish quicker but stay smaller and consequently yield less (its rare for me to go over 75 days!).

Best advice I can give is not to get too hung up on yield - if you grow them well and give them what they need when they need it, yield will look after itself.
