I am thinking of growing an autoflowering strain in a space that is 1,25m x 1,25m with one HPS 600w lamp. I would like to know if it would be possible to have 16 pots a 18 litre on this area and fulfil a good grow. The goal is to have as much yield as possible. Any help on this matter is appreciated.

Welcome to the Family Kyriakos... :dance2:.....if i understand your question correctly your saying 16- 18 liter pots in that space?? if so i believe that too much but please clarify that for me.....

How many plants depends a bit on which strains you plan on growing. For most dwarf strains 11-12 liter pots are big enough and you could fit 9 of them in that space. For some of the larger strains, like most of the DP line, then probably about 4-6 plants in 18 liter pots.

I have thought of Royal AK, White Widow or Amnesia Haze but I have difficulties in choosing the right one because I find so many different opinions about strain choosing. I need to get as much yield as possible on this space. What would you recommend? To put fewer pots and let them grow big or to have more plants that are tighter one to another?

I don't have any personal experience with the strains you mentioned but I know they all have been grown here on AFN. Do a search for them and you'll find the grow journals, which will give you a better idea on how big they get and what they yield.

I have two indoor grow spaces and my larger one is about the same size as yours. I prefer doing 8 or 9 three gallon (11 liter) pots in that space. I'm running LED lights which give penetration to about 24 - 30". I find that if I grow the larger plants I loose penetration to the lower branches, so I try to stay with strains that get no bigger than about 24 - 28" maximum. They generally yield around 2 ounces each, so getting a pound per grow is doable.
