My buddy did this as well. And in a house that typically reeked- it got noticably worse. Hahahaha.
He ran two batches- the first he ran a little to fast- and it got somewhat crispy at the tips, but equalize in a day of two in a jar and wasn't noticably harsh, only bland.
The second batch he just brought I down til it was shrinking up well- and then jarred that and burped it frequently for two weeks- and that smoke proves to be excellent. And he was able to get it into jars in about 4 hours.
After experiencing this I decided the dehydrator was more appropriate for making fruit leather. So I process a bunch of trim in golden grain - insuring that both the booze and the trim have been sitting int he freezer all day, and give them a good 2 minute swirl and then let the alcohol almost all evaporate off. Once I'm down to almost a syrup I dd that to fruit purée- mix well and then throw it into te dehydrator.
But for a quick dry I'm times of hardship- Ansolutely valid method
