Mephisto Genetics Recommended pot size for sour crack

First off I wanna say a massive thanks to mephisto for the generous free seeds and fast delivery ordered 3 sour crack on Friday and they where delivered the next day I also received a extra 2 sour crack and 3 wrc I am assuming is white crack seeds

So a question to the many people who have grown this strain what pot size would you recommend was thinking 5 litre pots since she is a small plant

I've not grown that strain, but vote for 3 gallon pots.

She gets usually gets you 1.5 oz in soil and is very short, about 8 to 10 inches tall. Maybe a foot if lucky. If you want to take her a bit longer (say day 65 va day 55-60), a bigger pot will get you a bit more bud, I've grown her in 3 gallon pots and 1 gallon pots. She yields substantially more in a 3 gallon pot(1.5 vs .75(or less)). Probably a 2 gallon pot would suffice fine for her. I've also grown her dwc and pulled 56g in 50 days

Thanks for the input think I'll put one in a 2 gal and one in a 3 gal see what the difference is was thinking of planting all 5 in 1 gallon pots as there so small and quick finishers might keep one a side and try and get some seeds out of her using some cs

What kind of medium do you use? This is a large factor on plant size when choosing pot sizes. For Coco 1 gal is fine. For soil I would go with 3 gal. I find 2 gal is too small for Soil, even with small strains plants fo better with more soil. Good luck, slow

There is more than 1 pheno for Sour Crack. One gets taller and has more banches. Both get larger than you state if grown properly in 2 to 3 gal pots of soil and in 1 to 2 gal pots of Coco. I have never done Sour Crack in DWC. It is too small of a strain to waste thst much space and it is not done in 50 days ever...you just chose to harvest early. Sour Crack is the fastest Mephisto Strain, but 50 days is not enought time. I have grown over 50 of them closer to 75.

Sour Crack has nice and dense buds, so they smaller stature at least has nice tight buds, so yields are decent for its size. The larger pheno can get to be about 2 to 2 1/2 feet tall and has more branches. Typical harvest days is between 56-63 days. Dont take it much longer than that. Yields are consistent 1 1/2 to 3 oz is a good range. I grew 2 Organically just recently in my Earth Box Junior. I put 2 in 1 Junior, that holds 5 to 7 gal of soil. They turned out great, almost identical. Yield was just under 4oz dried for 2 plants. Very dense and frosty, yields well for Rosin and is NOT to be used for a daytime smoke. If I need to sleep, Sour Crack Rosin is what will make you tired quickly! It will also make you feel useless if you indulge too much during the day, so its strictly night time for me. Peacex slow

Nice yeild I'd be happy with a oz a plant I've heard she's a heavy weight smoke and is fast to the finish line so what's not to like and looking at most of the grows on here I'm if for some fat dense frosty nugs just waiting on my Berry ryder to finish

I use 2 and 3gal fabric pots and if there is room use 3gals but personally I have grown sour crack and blue toof and deep blue c f2 in both not much of a difference yield or finish time have pics if u would like a reference and if u need nething just tag me I love helping fellow cannabis enthusiasts.
