The findings for optimal THC decarboxylation conflict with most current recommended practices, machines sold for this purpose, etc. -- using higher temperatures for shorter time.

I have been using the ardent nova for about a year. Usually takes a few hours to decarb, and about double that to infuse into some ghee for cookies. I've had very good results. I'm not sure of all the stats but it keeps my house from smelling much and I can pull the metal out right after its done without really burning myself, so it can't be too hot.

Seems to coincide with the "slow and not too hot" approach the article recommends. Its also sealed, which seems to also be a plus.

not cheap, but I push a button and ignore it until it decides its done and then the moving parts go into the dishwasher, easy peasy.

We could just be seeing different results between lab. and real-world conditions, between legal/controlled vs. 'other' indoor grown buds, etc.

For decarbing, I trust that in the real/growers' world that the common conventional methods have been well testing and optimized for decades by now. If there were ways of better decarbing that are affordable and practical, that's what many of most of us would be using.
