Wassup guys I was told on here if u pull a plant you shouldn't re use the soil because the dead roots can release a toxic chemical or something that can harm the new plant.

If a seed germinated and started to come up and sprout but didn't quite make it and I dug up what roots that I could should it be ok to just drop another bean in or no?

Also does that mean when people plant multiple in a pot and have to pull one because it's male or whatever reason that the dead roots of the pulled one are harming the rest? Thanks guy's:Sharing One:

Nah man,I do that often when planting a bunch of seeds by them selves in single pots.one I pull, n get the bits out n stir it up(where the seed was) with a tooth pick er sum such thing n respray with water n re-sow to soil.works for me all the time.Re-using soil is tricky imo.organics n tlo are fine if done right imo,but with nute grows there is nothing eating the roots fast n helthy enough n they break down in the wrong format n lend to disease.I think thats why, well also they mutate root structure to young seedlings and older plants if more/larger roots are left in the soil not broken down.Thats why most nute grower will screen the soil n recycle it.where is organics can be reused quite well from all Ive read.Never done a multi pot so dunno bout that,But I know people you've said you have to cull some to a degree(depending on size of container imo)because if there are too many roots in the pot they'll literally strangle themselves in some places and leading(possibly)to mass die off's.Never done a multi though.Id like to one day.maybe next season.a bunch of Photos to try it out.

Thanks EOF so should it be all good to use even though I'm not using organics or tlo? I got some of the roots out and remixed it and planted another bean In the same spot :Sharing One:

yeah if you got all the little bits ya see from stirring it up with a toothpick n diggin about lightly, yeah you'll be fine.Ive never had an issue like that when I did nutes either, so if you have not fed them at all n they were wee seedlings.yup, you should be fine.:Sharing One: as a rule I usually stir up half way down the toothpick as a normal depth and about an inch or even two inches depending on size of area(s) if your using plug planting er whatever with a seedling mix like I do.Its never failed me if ive taken the time to get the bits, mix n replant.

it is a BAD idea to leave any roots in

just because some people say they do it and every thing has been fine does NOT mean things wouldnt of been even better

it IS a risk , so why risk it

if you do a multi plant and have to pull some , be it males or runts or whatever , give a watering with one of the many zyme products out there , they break the roots down into food instead of a toxin

peace

Even from the itty bitty bits that might be left from digging around after picking most all of them out n replanting?didnt realise it took that little bit to make your soil toxic?..Thanks dude."AFN smoke out"

any risk no matter how small is still a risk , i find it better to advise people to avoid risks rather then say they could get away with it

so many things can go wrong during the course of even a single grow , i find it best to avoid known risks
