A 12 gallon latch and carry tote. It was clearance priced at my local home improvement store, $8. I already had 2 inch net pots, pucks, rapid rooters, air pump & stones, etc laying around the house and garden. I didn't measure or any of that silly stuff, just cut nine holes by eyeball. Well that and a hole saw.
Taking the bong hits took longer than the rest of the project. If one wanted to get fancy about it they could prime and paint it like I showed on the dwc monster maker DIY. Otherwise it's ready for business, and it didn't break the bank. I hope this saves you a few dollars and helps slay the diy fears most of us have. It's easier than you think.
