OK - got a seedling coming up root first - will it correct its self or should i intervene??? - Other question is I got 2 popping in the same cup - the first beans where slow so I put in another bean and now there coming up together - how long should I wait to separate them??

Can you get us a picture?I've never herd of a root growing out of the soil. What kind of cup are you talking about?

I gotta ask, spellbound, are you sure that's a tap root?
As for the two bean pot, I'd separate them asap before their roots get too tangled, or if it's too late maybe just cull one.

solo cup - but yeah thought i put it in the soil the rite way - had it soaking for about 24 hour and the shell was cracked so i threw it in the soil - just a little white stem sticking up

ill see if I can get some pics up in a bit - got to get my boys camera - stay tuned

Ok - the 1st pic is the 1 that im wondering when I should separate them and as you can see it looks like I have 3 sprouts but only put in 2 beans so the 1 with the shell is growing 2 stems odd - and the 2nd sprout is just bout to stand up - Now the root first 1 ( after further inspection ) looks like the leaf just hasn't stood up yet - its got a bend to if you look closer at it - my bad --- IMAG0065 - Copy.jpg IMAG0066 - Copy.jpg

Does the one in the second picture have a seed leaf on the end?Is that your final pot in the first picture?

really cant tell if there is leaf on the end - thought i would just let it go another day to see what happens - they are in solo cups for now will transplant when needed or if I should separate now - I threw a second bean in cause the first beans just didnt want to come up so now theirs 3 sprout in 1 cup and the other cup only showing 1 sprout - these are photos - Pure Kush beans from OSSC - got 1 finishing know and wanted to get a couple more going to do a long veg under some cfls

When I was doing experimentation with my seedling mix I noticed a some of the seedlings spun out like that in the second picture.either it was too hot(which was my case)or a big piece of something got in its way n it spun out which Ive had happen as well. well id wait anywhere from a handfull of more days to a week and then dig up roots with a small shovel under em n a spray bottle and cut and seperate the one ya wanna keep and re pot it with some care and B2 watered in a very light mix is what id do.and at that time will be time for a veery small feeding to hopefully boost it shortly after it takes in a few days.

any time ive had em sprout upside down like that if i didnt catch it soon enough the tip dried causing growth to stop and the seedling to die , if your worried about causing damage at least get some more soil over it , eventually gravity will take over and it will curve down

peace
