So im germinating in paper towel and putting my strongest seed in one of those spongy root riot plugs i think they're called. Then im putting it in coco. The only reason im doing this is to be able to dust mykos over the exposed roots once they've grow abit under the dome and then im putting the whole thing in straight coco. My big question is what ph should the water be when its in the plug and then what ph should the water be once its in the coco while still in the plug?

You should not be transplanting autos. It will give you the weakest yields. The water should be lower than other mediums require. Coco has a ph buffering quality to 6.8, so start with a 5 something when using coco. If you want a strict number I would say a 5.5 or less will serve you exceptionally with coco coir. Please do not use the root plug. Put the sprout straight into coco about a half inch to one inch deep. You can still introduce inoculate immediately.

I use General Hydroponics root plugs for doing deep water culture. They are incredible and made of bark. My friend used one that went into soil and later yielded about a 1/4 ounce of bud. It was pathetic lol, it was a 00 Seeds northern lights. They are a heavy yield strain.

If you want to crack it in a root riot and plant it before the taproot comes put the bottom go for it. Works great.

Will alot of side growth happen? Im just using these riot things so i can put mykos all over the roots. Im still very nervous about watering the plant at 5.8 into the root riot plug even though it will be transplanted into straight coco. Does it matter much?

Your over thinking it bud. It should just pop it's head above the ground then straight into the coco. 4 to 5 days total. You can water the mycos into the coco. The bean really needs nothing the first few days.

Yea man. Totally cool. Little secret bud. Ph from 5.8 to 6.1 is great. Find your particular sweet spot and you will be growing monsters in no time.
