Runtz Grow and Show

Runtz - Week 0

I'm starting up 2 Runtz from this summers grow and show. The couple of GrandDaddy Purples I grow out were really easy grows and produced some fine bud. I'm looking forward to growing out the new classic.

The 2 Runtz popped and are on there way. One of the seedings had a tough time shedding her shell and stalled till I helped her out. I have a small experiment going to test second run soil vs. fresh. I'll start lightly feeding the second run soil starting the end of week and start on the other at 30 days. I'm also changing nuitients so this will have a bit of a learning curve.

Runtz - Week 1

Both plants are doing well. I started a light feed on the reused soil plant. Other than that, nothing to report. I should probably add some humidification to get the VPD in line. I'll add a humidifier tomorrow.

Runtz - Week 2

Both are doing well and stacking nodes. I topped the plant in the new soil and I will try to keep myself from topping the other one. I bumped the feed up on the reused soil plant because she was looking a little light green.

Runtz - Week 3
Day 30 / Day 26

I ended up topping both plants last week. Started to pull down some branches yesterday to spread everything out evenly. Ended up snapping one of the lower mains on the fresh soil plant, Grrrrrr. I tried to tape it back on but it was completely off by the time my fat fingers could save it. I gave up hope on that one so I just pulled it off today. On that note, very light training going forward. I will simply weigh the branches down from the ends to spread them out. Other than that, they are doing well.

Runtz - Week 4
Day 35 / Day 33

Both are doing well and blowing up. I just started feeding the new soil plant and things are going well. Spreading branches out to get the most out of the these girls. The reused soil plant seams to be a bit more branchy while the other has a bit more stretch. We'll see how they finish up. The reused soil plant has been showing some flowers and the other is just starting to show. This might be a long grow.

Runtz - Week 5
Day 43 / Day 40

Still going strong and getting into the last bit of stretch I think/hope. It kind of lo,oks like I might have two phenos but I'm not entirely sure. The reused soil plant had jumped into flower earlier despite looking like she was behind. This one also looks to be a bit more bushy while the new soil plant has some wider node spacing and longer branches.

Runtz - Week 6
Day 50 / Day 47

I got a bit of stretch out of the new soil plant but the reused soil plant stayed pretty even. Both are settling into flower and looking good. I'll thin the bushy plant out a bit to open up light to the lower bud sites. Other than that, they are doing good and getting thirsty.

Runtz - Week 7
Day 57 / Day 54

The stretch is about over and we are into flower on both plants. The reused soil plant looks more on the Indi side and the new soil plant looks like it leans more on the Sati side. The stocker plant has bigger and thicker flowers while the taller plant has very fine flowers. Both are building some frost but the shorter plant is looking to be a bit further on.

Runtz - Week 8
Day 65 / Day 62

Going well and no issues. The taller plant is drinking almost twice as fast as the bushier girl. Both are throwing down the flowers now.
