New Grower Sampling

hey afn iam 2 weeks from the end of my grow and i wanted to know if it would be ok to take a small sample? if so where would be the best place to take it from, ie where on the plant, i didn't really want to go and cut a part of the main cola, any help would be appreciated, thanks

a lower popcorn bud that doesn't get much light will probly go into the trim stash anyway,so why not sample a bit...
a nice upper bud would be super too,but once it goes up in a puff...it's gone
