What is the optimal height or distance of the screen from the top of your buckets/pots?

i dont think it matters too much just enough room for a little air circulation and access for watering and defoliatating if needed, id guess around a foot

Yeah bout a foot is what I have seen. On mine I did 9in from base of the stem. Seems fine to me ths far.
Plenty of room to work.
Any ideas on when to start defoliation?
