gently put drops of water on it so that the surface tension holds a drop to the seed coat. let it sit for minute, if it still wont open or pull off, wet it again.

Should have done that before she twisted her head and cotyledons, now I can't water the shell without drowning the whole head of my princess. I think Im going to wait until she decides to stretch a little and try again. (Damn camera won't focus, but you can see it pretty well) oh, and the drops were of Oxygenated Water to sterilize any harm that could be inside.

she's water proof I get a drop on a knife edge, and place it on the seed shell by surface tension. but pouring on the leaves will not hurt them a bit. Pry open the seed, rather than pull it off. It prys better wet.

Keep moistening it periodically (like every 10-15 minutes) using an eye dropper right on the seed hull (maybe 2-3 drops). Then gently use tweezers or a needle or pin to lift it off. If it's still not coming off easily, go back to moistening every few minutes then try again. I've successfully used this method with seed hulls and with just the membrane. Or, you can wait and see if she pushes out of it on her own.
