New Grower seed to harvest question

Hi all,
doing an atuo grow outdoors in ireland, rqs ak, dinafem white widow, and super cali haze.
i grew under lights a few months ago, a bit of a disaster.
The AKs are the first planted, 4th of april, popped a few days later and sprouted around the 9th, which is about 6 weeks ago, and there only showing their pre flowers now.
The website says that they finish in 8-9 weeks, but the weather has beed a lot colder than average so does this mean that the plants will take longer?
Is 8-9 weeks the time length for the 20/4 light cycle?
my plants are healthy, using biobizz soil and fert, but i just don't see how they will preduce buds and finish in 3 weeks.


ps i smoke to help me with depression and i cant get spliff in ireland, so i have to go to another country every time i want a spliff, this is why i want to have an accurite harvest time.

Welcome to AFN.The aks should have flowered long ago but this happens sometimes and I really don't know why It happened to me also.Next time you grow ask about a strain before you buy.Most strains take about 65 to 75 days aprox to finish.Guessing the finish date is something most people won't comment on because it varies on a lot of different factors.Why is it you can't get weed in Ireland.

The short answer is...They can't...Since the plant's maturity is not tied solely to photoperiod, there are other variables that come into play. The harvest times listed in the seed catalogs are all pretty optimistic in my opinion. Others may have their own way of estimating harvest time but I think under average conditions you'd be pretty close if you took the time in the seed catalog and started counting from when you see the first preflowers. Under certain conditions it could be longer than that...for example, my dinafem WWidow Auto (now at 94 days) looks like it's going to be ready at about 115-120 days from sprouting, in DWC with 24 hour lighting, indoors (almost twice as long as the predicted finish time.) The first run is a learning experience and you'll know what to expect on the next one. It's like the car manufacturers say, "Your mileage may vary...".

thanks for the reply, i did a lot of research, i have a few photos going too, durban poisons and juanita la lagrimosa, plus a few freebies.
oddly they all showed the pre flowers within a 24 hour period, so i think it must be enviormental factors, mainly the cold, 3-4 degrees below average for months now.

the reason i cant get weed in ireland is my hash guy lost his connection 2 1/2 years ago, and even tho i know 30+ peolpe who smoke, none of them will even consider hooking me up.
it is way more illegal here than any other country ive been to, mainly because it is a threat to the alcohal and pharmicutiacl industries, which are quite big here as you might expect, everyone i know is half an alcohalic ont 10 pills a day.
i think people are afraid of getting caught, or non smokers finding out.
ill probly just have to go to london next week, i dont mind, but it becomes a bloody expensive bag of weed
