-Problem: The tiny leafs point down
-Medium/grow method: 2 pot RDWC + reservoir
-Feed and supplements used: Only water.
-Water source: Good ol' Dutch tapwater. 0,6 ec. I let PH fluctuate between 5,5 and 6,5.
-Strain and age RQS Stress Killer. Autoflower CBDrich strain. 1-2 weeks old.
-Climate: 25/17 Celsius max/min. 60% RH
- Light used: Chinese 120 watt led. 18/6
-Additional info: I germinated 2 seeds. In a heated propagator. 1 died after a week(first leafs didn't pop the shell). Other looks good. So I germinated another seed. But this one looks not so healthy like her older sister.

Are you top feeding?

Something off subject though. You might wanna bring those plugs down into the hydroton some to support the stems. They’re looking a little weak. Maybe bring the light down some too.

It's a rdwc system with topfeed for the first few weeks.

I've added a fan and tube heater a day after my first post.

This morning I finally noticed she is having bigger, healthier looking leaves. So hopefully she makes it into a beautiful plant.

The one with the curled tips looks like it got a pH fluctuation it didn't like. The new leaves look ok though. you have about the right range for pH, but I would try to keep it at 5.8 as much as possible. When you add nutes to the rez that is a must. Some will tolerate it up to 6.5 but most autos don't like it over 6.2... That's where phosphorous becomes an issue, leading to your curled leaves there most likely.

I highly reccomend getting a good pH pen. Good brands are Apera, Blue Labs, and Oakton. Make sure it has temperature adjustment.

Here is the chart that shows where each nutrient is available in hydro.

This chart is guide, each plant will respond a bit different. The trick is to keep it where it gets both calcium and phosphorus. They have a different window where they are available.

Do not listen to marketing talk that tells you that your nutes are 'pH balanced' or whatever. They all need adjustment in hydro.

I fryed my seedlings this time around too. here's a pic of what high pH will do. This happened at 6.5 pH when I added in nutes carelessly. It stunted them back 2 weeks, and the flower period may be 90 days instead of 60. But they do recover, 2nd pic is what that plant looks like now a month later.

Thnx for the reply @green genes. I started thinking what the PH fluctuations could have caused. I think it is because I used tapwater, which is PH 7+, while germinating the seeds in the propagator.

I've hooked op an old EC and PH meter from my aquarium to my reservoir for continuous measuring.

I normally let PH drift between 5,5 and 6,5 to let the plants absorb all nutrients. I'll change that to 5,5 - 6,2.

Plant has become less fragile, but there is still something wrong. Still PH fluctuations? Grow has stagnated for over a week: 10cm. Today it finally got 1 cm taller.

Her big sister is doing much better.

I don't understand why. They share the same air, light, water, etc.

it flowered! She looks hungry too. Unusual to see them flower that small.

They both started flowering at about 3 weeks.

I'm using Dutchpro:

My first grow I followed the chart to the letter. It resulted in a plant with dark green (almost black leaves). Even after more then a week of flushing (on hydro!!) there were still no yellow leaves. Even though there was almost no signs of nutrient burns, I think she had to much. So this cycle I'm using 50% of the recommended value. I think it's better to only use 50% of A&B and use the recommended dosage of multi total and take root. Any suggestions on this?

Last weeks reservoir change had an ec of 1.1. It dropped to 0.9 in a few days.. I added some more A&B till 1.0 ec. But it has already started to drop to 0.9. So that confirms with your statement that see looks hungry.

What I wonder about is, why doesn't the big plant look hungry? Could it be because it has already developed a nice set of roots, where the roots of the sick plant are not even visible outside the netpot. Is that a valid conclusion?

Anyway, thanks for your feedback. I wish you a good and green 2018!
