I germinated my seeds in uncle wiggleys premix "compost extract" for about 16 hours they were all sunk by then, then on Monday I planted them about a quarter inch deep now it's Thursday and still no sprouts should I be worried or give them more time (which I am doing) I've only worked with bag seed I've never grown anything from a seed a bank before but every bag seed I've grown sprouted in a day or two. Also I cleaned the germination cups with alcohol beforehand then rinsed with water could that be a problem...

Give it time, I'v had it take up to 10 days. I found one once that took a month.... :smokebuds:

Fuck I really don't have a big window for growing as I'm growing outdoors and the weather here changes constantly I'm trying to find a bubbler to make some tea. Would a nice shot of aerated tea with nitrogen give them a helping hand?

Were the seeds split in the water? If not they will take a little while.Make sure you keep the soil moist and in a warm location.

I have no idea I thought once they were sunk that meant they were split :face: I put them out in a field with medium tall grass where they will get 90% of the sun throughout the day and fed them each a gallon of pure RO and they got a little run off that was yesterday and today (thank God) it's 80 and sunny and the pots are very moist still (I'm using 7 gallon smart pots).

im not sure about outdoors mate, but there are plenty that are.
my skunk took 11 days before she split and another 5 before i had a 'plant' at all.
ive also had a few that rotted in the pot, over watered them:o

If they dont germm scratch/peal em with a knife not mush just so it can hatch easyer.

Just remember the worst thing you can do is go digging for them! Patience!

Wide array of information here!

I'll say that typically once a seed sinks, that means it cracked somewhere. At least in my experience.

I've never soaked in a compost extract or a tea before, I typically soak in tap water (chlorine and all).. but I doubt you'd have too much negative effect soaking in the worm juice. 1/4" deep is a good depth though, I'd give 'em another few days before I started getting too nervous. Don't dig though unless you're getting ready to scrap the pot and replant in it. Typically when I germinate and I put the seed in soil, I'll put a small off clear/cloudy cup over where the seed is to keep the humidity up in that area. It helps to bring the plant up a bit IME.

Whatever you do, don't feed it anything in hopes of giving it a "boost" a plant can pop cotyledons with NO nutrients at all and the nutrients have a very high chance of causing some form of shock, IMO.

Keep us posted bro!

I'm definitely not scrapping them i'm just worried about helicopters coming out towards end of summer they have heat sensor that looks for bud where i'm at, got a bunch of people last year and my meds are in open(ish) field which is county owned (about 750 acres) so i'm sure they'd look their (maybe not it's kinda in nowhere, more like a reservation for a giant salamander that eats small fish). Why does that humidity thing help I've been wondering? I'm doing TLO so i'm not going to give them chemicals or anything really except teas that's why I was wondering if guano tea with nitrogen would help? Also should I start mixing in Cal/mg+ from General Organics in my RO after the first or second set of leaves? Thanks to everyone who replied I appreciate the help
