Ive been reading for days on this topic of whether or not to plant your seeds with taproot up or down. I've always put them down but have always had issues with shedding the shell. My seeds I planted yesterday I did them pointing up. Its driving me crazy with mixed reviews about this and im starting to wonder if I screwed up already.

Any additional input?

1/2 inch deep on there side....works for me

Well I hope putting them UP works. I did happen to put one sideways and labeled the pot that I did so I will see how good it works.

root up! ....as it comes out of the shell it makes a 'hook' then drives it's self into the soil it then starts to straighten up pulling the shell off as it comes through if it don't come off you can try and help it. if you put it root down it will still make the 'hook' except it might not have enough energy to re right it's self
