Hi everyone, I've enjoyed this forum immensely! I'm moving this thread to this forum at Renaissance Redneck's suggestion.

I'm new to autoflower strains. It's been twenty years since my last grow, so I've been excited to learn about AF as well as LED lights and veganic gardening. I’m trying them all at once!

This sexy girl is a Kush van Stitch. She's slmost seven weeks old and began showing abundant pistils at four weeks. As you can see, her internode length is minimal. She also has exclusively three-bladed leaves.

In addition to showing her off, I'm thinking about how to maximize yield from this one plant. As you can see, I just added a SCROG trellis. .

My gardening method is veganic supersoil. She's in a seven-gallon grow bag filled with Ecoscraps potting mix. The bottom half is ammended with five cups of Yum Yum Mix (2-1-1). I used a little seaweed for a nitrogen deficiency (prior to transplanting), and I’m now adding magnesium sulfate to her water for white tips. She’s bottom-watered and under a 180 W Blackstar Chrome light 12 inches from the highest leaves.

I had a difficult time getting past the seedling stage. I eventually went to rock-wool plugs and blocks. (I think that I was over-watering.) This one’s above-ground growth stalled for about a week at her second set of leaves but at that point roots began poking out the bottom of the four-inch block. She had a strong will to live.

So, am I correct in understanding that she'll only grow for one or two more weeks and then begin flowering? Since Yum Yum Mix is 2-1-1, will I want to add a fertilizer optimized for flowering, maybe GO or Pura Vida. Or, should I just let her go and keep watching for signs of deficiencies?

I’m open to any suggestions for maximizing yield. I'm a little concerned that this plant might end up being a smaller than I'd hoped. Thanks!

Hey and Welcome!!
Glad you stopped by to share your grow!
Sorry; about all I have to offer is my enthusiasm! But no worries there are lot's of knowledgeable folks that I am sure will answer your questions.
Peace and happy growing, here some :karma Cloud: to help boost your yields!!

Thanks, wwillie, the karma seems to be working! Strong growth this past week. Main shoot is tied back with many side branches. New pic is at 56 days. Seed info for this one is 60 days, so I expect flowering to begin soon. She's had these popcorn buds for weeks - how will I know when she's in full flower?
