New Grower Should I leave my autos in darkness for the last two days prior to harvest?

Hi guys wonder if you can help me out here since I have read that sometimes it is good to leave plants in darkness for the last two days prior to harvest? is this true and is it ok with autos? thanks in advance.

I wouldn't go 2 days because of possible mould. 24 hours dark max.

On my last grow I didn't give them any dark period at all and there was no noticeable difference.
