New Grower Should i pick the popcorn nugs?

I was wondering if there is any techniques on trimming the lower branches?
i am growing outdoors and not sure if I should let the lower branches grow or take them off and focus on the main crown?

I would not do anythig if they are autos!!! It would be a shame to stunt them durring flower!!!

Yeah its called lollipopping. If their not gonna produce than they need to go. Just robbing nutes from the tops.

I have striped the bottom half of lowryder #1 once and still pulled 38G from it. I usualy strip the bottom 1/4 of my plants as the buds are useless unless your going to cook or make hash with it.

They usually don't mature at the same time either.

You do see the tops fill out a little more and it all finishes at the same time.

I think I should've done this with my automazars as the lower buds seem way behind the tops as their about to be harvested and it's going to be a pain having to let the bottoms go another week or two. When you lollipop them at time do you cut off the lower 1/4 branches?

If we are talking about autos don't trim at all. If we are talking about photos, only trim during veg before the bud sites begin getting set. If they are already set, let them grow and save them for hash making. On photos I only trim branches that get in my way of watering. I normally have about 2 ounces of popcorn buds off lower branches that I let dry and then bag for hash making. Put it in gallon zip locks and store in the freezer. After you have about 10 ounces it will make a good hash run. Check out the bubble hash thread, you will be happy you did.
