Morning Guys and Girls (It is 8am in the UK) :)

Ok,

I am watching my girls like a HAWK!!!

On two of them I have noticed some changes that I think should not be happening.

I think this one is caused by me overwatering? The leaves are curling down.. Am I correct?

The next, I am unsure of what the problem is.. She is starting to get little spots on some of her leaves..

I have checked for little pests and only found one or two little black bugs that I removed.. I do not think it is that although me not being too knowledgeable yet, I am probably wrong.

Is someone able to give their input please?

Kind regards,

Morning :)

Well it doesn't look like overwatering. Overwatering is more the whole leaf curls up and drops because its heavier. Curling just at the tips is probably a nute or a pH problem.

Having said that, my plant's leaves often change shape, and sometimes curl at the tips. For me they've always fixed themselves, maybe I give a bit of water, but it always goes back to normal.

I would suggest keeping a close eye to see if it gets worse, and maybe giving a water to run any nutrients in your soil away from the roots.

Get a second opinion on this aswell, I'm only on my first grow so I'm not 100% hehe

Good luck :)

Hey DANK!

Thanks for your reply.

Hmmm, might well be a pH problem.. I do not have a decent pH reader as cannot afford one.. I bought one with prongs from ebay and it does not work :(

I have been quite conservative with nutes but now on full feed every two days.

I just need to get to the root of the spots as I would like to fix anything before it gets serious :)

Loving your grow mate, will be checking in on it every now and again..

Regards,

MaG

On a side note, I am watering with rain water stored in a water butt....

Hi Magik

She looks about 2-3 weeks old right? Pretty soon for a full feeding in my opinion, but nute burn would manifest in the tips first.
As for the drooping, that can be caused by overwatering and under watering, but if anything, by looking at your soil i'm guessing over watered.

The PH pen is essential if you want to get it right and not guess your way through, in the UK you're looking about £30 for the pen, fiver for the buffer solution and a bit of time working out how to use it properly and you'll save yourself all the woe associated with PH problems :)

Those little dots look like water or nute splashes to me :) I wouldn't worry about it personally.

All the best

Hey Blue!

Thanks for stopping by..

She is 18 days old, I could well be over worrying as it is my first grow but I defo think that I have been over-watering.. We have had some scorching days here and the surface of the soil was bone dry.. I have now stuck a moisture detector at root level and it is maxed out so will now be waiting until it goes into the red until I re-water.

I will be buying a pH pen when I have the spare cash as I defo need one.

Thanks again,

MaG

I have a PH and moisture meter, does light as well which seems futile...

My girls are healthy & growing fast but have had simalar issues, my soil seems to have extreme water retention and also the PH is on some as low as barely above 4 and on the highest ones, 5.5 at best if my tester thing is to be believed.

It seems likely It is PH given that exact leaf thing has happened on mine and sudden leaf curl down, then the plant recovers..

Cut a few more holes on the bottom of the plant pot perhaps and for now let the soil dry out more if you fear over watering.

Cheers Herb,

That is what i have got.. It has two prongs... I put it in a pot of vinegar and it said that it was alkaline!!! Useless..

My plants are in the ground so perlite or holes in the bottom are a no-no..

I let the ground dry out and they look much greener/healthier already..

I am just going to water in small amounts more often if required and am going to stick to the "wait until the ground is dry"

There is slight nute burn on the tips of new growth so will just be watering for 4-6 days..

Already learning a lot ready for my next grow!!

Gonna get me a tent/led lights so i can grow over the winter :)

Thanks again bud..
