I have a bias opinion on the Solar Storms, because I own 2 of em. I have not used a blackdog. I do like the SS with the UVB, but you cannot do perpetual grows with the SS due to the veg/flower switch. That is the only drawback to the SS in my opinion. I do love the light and it's results. Best way I can put it......Ths is what a couple solar storms(400s) can do in a 4x4 tent...
