Hey all, first pic is the Afghan Kush Ryder. I just noticed these spots on the top leaves this morning. The plant is about 4 days into flowering. None of the other leaves have the spots, just the top leaves at the top of the plant. It is under a 150w 2700k cfl, also picking up some rays from the cfls on the plant next to it. I haven't used ANY nutes or ferts on either plant yet.

The other pics are my Royal Dwarf..the last pic i was using the flash on the camera. Both the AKR and RD were planted at the same time but the AKR has already been flowering a few days. Looks like the RD is still vegging. Anyone think it will start flowering soon??! I planted them 31 days ago, this is the middle of the 4th week for them.

Looks like beginning of cal/mag issue if no water has gotten on the leaves. Even if water did splash I dont think that cfl would burn it.

might be time for some cal/mag. hows your ph?

Rough Calculation Guide:

Here's some good info on ph.....
If your runoff pH is higher than your starting pH, use this equation to determine your soil pH:*
Soil pH = Runoff pH + Difference

If your runoff pH is lower than your starting pH, us this equation:
Soil pH = Runoff pH - Difference.

For example, say your the starting pH of your solution before it goes in is 6.5 and the pH of your runoff is 7.0. The difference is +0.5, so using the above equation:
Soil pH = 7.0 + 0.5*
Soil pH = 7.5

If your starting pH is 6.5 and your runoff is 6.0, your difference is -0.5 and using the above equation:
Soil pH = 6.0 - 0.5
Soil pH = 5.5

thanks guys, I don't have a ph meter but I might be able to find some old test strips for our pool.. we have a pool guy now lol.

Would adding molasses to my water be sufficient for the cal-mag deficiency? if not where can I get cal-mag cheap? I'm out of a job, don't have much money, and don't really have a grow store around...but there is a home depot/lowes and walmart down the street..
