Indoor Sugestions on cooling

I have the duct fan attached to good on the opened end of hood(opposite side of where power cord And bulb go, on that side I
Left open in tent) than I have fan pushing air out of the tent (thinking it would suck in hot air from
Tent through open end of hood) and than from
Fan I have duct going out of tent. My thinking is that it would pull hot air from out of tent and pushed out. I've tried what I've thought every way possible... Am really at a loss

I think the duct fan pushing hot air from the tent into a super hot light fixture is overworked...
you may need a more powerful fan just to exhaust the heat from the hps light....also you can remove the cieling grille with a couple screws....inside is a rectanglar metal box with a round hole at top center....your flex hose should fit right in with no problems....a few push pins, some string for support and your babies will have a/c....close the vents in any rooms you don't use too...this helps get more cool down there.

I run a 6"/400cfm in a 4' x 4' cab that has a 600w HID... I've never been more than 5 degrees above the temps outside the cab. I use a hydrofarm fan and phresh filter for odor. There are a number of good options as far as inline fans are concerned. Muddy can help you a lot with this stuff... he was a great help to me when I upgraded my cab.

Build a manifold for your AC duct out of cardboard. Basically build yourself a pyramid shaped box that goes over the vent, then cut a hole in the box and run the 6" inlet into the box, seal it all off with duct tape, then run the 6" duct work into the top most vent of your tent so the cool air mixes with the warm and settles onto the plants. Be cautious not to allow a source of "cold" air to hit one plant directly, that one plant might not like the intense temperature swings and could cause P to lock out at low temps with the lights off. But yeah, you can build a box out of cardboard that would cover your AC vent and just do it on the cheap. With LED's all you should need is a small 150-200 CFM extractor pulling air through a carbon filter out the top of your tent....easy setup.

That's great idea for now, but unfortunately not just running an led also have the 400hid I there as well and than my concern would be once I turn heat on to warm house... I think I'm just going to have to buy a good inline fan... Seems like only option... Now to decide what type of inline a CAN or Vortex cheapest place to buy etc...

Could you feed the cool incoming air right over the plant tops. It might stratstify the heat, keeping the hottest up high? The plant temp is the most important. Just a thought.
