Old Reviews Sun Blaze T5 Smell?

I was given a Sun Blaze light from a local company. Its brand new. Ive had it going for 2 hours and the smell coming from it is exactly like a paint smell. Its pretty intense. Any ideas why this happens and if its bad for the plants?

new unit heating up for the first time got that new paint smell should go away after a day or two

Lol I'm a moron...at the exact time I put this light in a bottle of car wax in a box in the closet blew up....hence the smell. Ohhhh brother

The smell is from the stamping oils used when forming the parts...although a bit stinky, it shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't bogart the odor...:smoking:
